2016-01-26 : Lito Adventures

What a long day. Got home around 9:40pm. Started the day at 7:30am. I was going to do some late night grocery shopping, but forgot there was 2 feet of snow on my car and sheet of protective ice under that.

I just finished brushing and cleaning most of it. I’ll hope the weather is warm enough to take care of the rest tomorrow.

It was pretty busy morning at work. The phone wouldn’t stop ringing the first hour. Then it kinda of dropped off, but I had some side projects to work on.

Today was the first day of my new workout program designed by my friend Christina. She did really well. I really felt challenged, but not to the point of giving up or felt like I was going to die.

I also burned a ton of calories.

So I’m going to have to do some Scooby math tonight to figure out my macros and how much I need to step up my intake since I’ll be burning a lot under this new program.

2016-01-15 : Lito Gains

First two weeks of work in the books. One of my bosses said good start so that means something.

Went to the gym after work to test out my blister. It’s not as bad as a few days ago, but still annoying and sore. It didn’t really limit my motion, but it limited how hard I could go.

Hopefully my blister will heal soon so I can get into shape and buy a suit for these upcoming weddings I gotta go to.

I’ve changed my diet too. For breakfast I’ll have some eggs and hash browns and hot sauce. Then for lunch and dinner I’ll have brown rice, grilled chicken, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, cheddar cheese and pita chips. I’m going to try and limit my cheat meals too and if I have a cheat meal I’ll make sure I walk around to burn off those extra calories.

Might be adventuring into NYC tomorrow with a friend. If she comes to visit I’ll defiantly be having a cheat meal. If she doesn’t visit, I’ll be at home studying like a nerd.

2016-01-08 : Lito Adventures

First week at the new job in the books. Like I wrote it was a shitty first morning, but I bounced back and had a kick ass rest of the week. I only work Monday, Wednesday and Friday because I’m an intern.

I felt like I was actually doing work today. I went with some coworkers to  meeting with client. It was good times. I got assigned some projects and I helped a handful of people today. I’m going to try to set myself up for success at this job. I ordered some study material and I’m going to try to get some certifications to allow me to do more.

What’s not fun is the train commute after work. But hopefully next week when I go to the gym it will allow me to miss rush hour traffic home. But I do love the 45 min standing ride, I really do.

Luckily I was treated to a burger and two types of fries at work today. Waffle and parmesean. I’m going to definitely need the gym if this keeps up.

2016-01-06 : Lito Adventures

One of my resolutions was to stop putting stuff off and just get stuff done. So I’ve been busy cleaning my apartment/room and getting rid of crap I don’t need anymore. Old clothes, old shoes, etc. Trying to live more minimalist. Organization is key since I have a small living space to work with.

Started my new job this week and so far I like it. Monday was kinda rough start cause I forgot my phone at home and then forgot my keys in the door. I ended up being 45 mins late on the first day. Today, my second day, I was 5 mins early. I just have to keep at it and find the right time to make it to work early. I will definitely start hitting the gym after work next week. The train around 5pm is brutal. I had to stand the whole way.

So going to the gym after work will hopefully eliminate that. I got some new swag for the gym.

I also stepped up my meal prep game again. To eat better and to save money as well.

Still trying to find out what veggie to put in there to balance my chicken and rice diet.

I’ll still splurge and get some take out once an a while, but I gotta keep it to a minimum. Maybe I’ll treat myself to the hot fire Korean ramen to splurge. It’s really hot, but tasty.

2016-01-03 : Lito Adventures

New year, new adventures. New Years Eve I had a blast hanging out with some friends down near Wall Street. Self proclaimed Beer Pong Champions of 2015 with my partner who crushed it too. I also got to have spinach artichoke pizza at 3am. It was a great time and glad I went.

Yesterday I hung out with my friend down in Chelsea Market. We got Num Pang sandwiches, tacos and bubble tea. We walked it off and then bought new jackets. Here is a pic of my sweet new jacket.

Today I went with my friend and his girlfriend to the Bronx Zoo for some bonding with the animals. It was a lot of fun.

After becoming one with the animals, we decided to go get some dinner. I went with the lovely couple to a place called Heights Tavern. It was a sports kinda bar. It was nice. I got a Hot Toddy which was mostly whiskey. It was pretty strong.

And for dinner I got the cowboy burger which really hit the spot.

The burger had chili and onion rings on top of it.

So now I have to get ready to end my four month long vacation from work. Tomorrow I’ll be going back to work and earning that money again. But this time I’m going to follow Lil Dicky’s advice and Save Dat Money.
